Despite earlier reports on Wednesday from super agent Drew Rosenhaus that he wouldn't be shocked if Tim Tebow went down south for the Dolphins, sources claimed that the former Jets quarterback was not working out for the Dolphins on Thursday.

"Tim Tebow, I ask high ranking Dolphins source? 'No ... totally untrue,'" Armando Salguero of The Miami Herald tweeted.

Thursday, Salguero followed up with the report confirming that Tebow is not visiting or on the radar for the Dolphins, according to NFL.com.

"If any NFL team is going to sign Tebow, it's because the coaching staff believes he can be an asset as either a backup quarterback or a versatile gadget player," Chris Wesseling of Around The League weighed in.

According to Sun Sentinel, a team source said that Tebow "hasn't been discussed," but is not completely ruled out either.

Upon his release from the New York Jets, Tim Tebow sent a Bible passage from Proverbs on Twitter, triggering many encouraging words and prayers from fans.

"Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight," Tebow tweeted Monday.

Tebow's expression of faith in God comes just hours after the Jets confirmed that they were releasing the quarterback, who had become a sensation after he led the Florida Gators to two national championships and won a Heisman Trophy.
However, the Nease High School standout turned out to be an ill-fated trade for the Jets. Tim remained mostly on the sideline, reaching only 72 offensive snaps with the team.

"We have a great deal of respect for Tim Tebow," Jets coach Rex Ryan said.
"Unfortunately, things did not work out the way we all had hoped. Tim is an extremely hard worker, evident by the shape he came back in this offseason. We wish him the best moving forward."

"I felt like it was a learning opportunity for me," Tebow said of his experience in the New York Jets.
"There was a lot that I'll take from it. There's a lot that I learned, and there are lot of relationships that I've built, so I know that it happened for a reason."
