Gendercide, sex-selective abortion

Live Action, a pro-life group, has released a third undercover video that shows two National Abortion Federation (NAF) clinic staffs suggesting that a woman looking for sex-selective abortion should hide her reason.

The group's project, "Gendercide: Sex-Selection in America," previously revealed an undercover videos showing Planned Parenthood’s clinic staffs in New York City and Austin, TX, encouraging women to have sex-selection abortions.

Six studies in the past four years suggested that there are thousands of "missing girls" in the U.S because of sex-selective abortion, according to Live Action.

"Sex-selective abortion is a global search-and-destroy mission against little girls that is spreading at an alarming rate. While we wait for Congress to pass the Prenatal Non-Discrimination Act to ban sex-selective abortion in the U.S., state authorities should vigorously enforce Arizona's law," said Live Action
President Lila Rose, who urges Arizona authorities to enforce the state's sex-selection ban.
The clinics supporting sex-selective abortion should be investigated, prosecuted, defunded, and delicensed immediately."

Last week, President Obama and pro-abortion legislators blocked the federal ban on sex-selective abortions in Congress.
Currently, sex-selective abortion is illegal in four states: Arizona, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania.
Arizona law states that it is “class 3 felony” to perform “an abortion knowing that the abortion is sought based on the sex or race of the child or the race of a parent of that child.”

In the new video, two NAF members, each working at Camelback Family Planning in Phoenix and the Tucson Women's Center in Tucson, were fully aware of the state law, but were cooperative to a sex-selective abortion. They told an investigator from Live Action to hide her reason for the abortion.

The investigator visits the camelback Family Planning clinic showing that she wants to abort her child because of sex.
“Oh!  Um, don’t tell us that, we don’t want to know,” a counselor named Barb told the investigator.
“State law says we cannot do a termination on somebody just because of race or gender.”

Referring to the clinic’s abortion doctor, who Live Action identifies as Gabrielle Goodrick, the staffer said, “You can tell her, she’s gonna tell you the same thing, just: ‘Don’t let it be known!’ She’s really good about that. You’ll like that about her.”

At the Tucson clinic, a male assistant Francisco tells the investigator, "I'll just forget about it," referring to her mentioning of the sex-selective abortion.

"We could lose our license," he said, adding, "but just be sure not to mention it" to the abortion doctor.

“NAF is the professional trade group for abortion doctors and clinics in the U.S. and Canada. Many NAF board members are current or former Planned Parenthood officials, and Planned Parenthood representatives frequently play a prominent role at NAF annual meetings,” explains Live Action.
