Terrorist organization Boko Haram declared its position to stand against Christians and its goal to eliminate followers of Chrsit from Nigeria and establish an Islamic state.
"The Nigerian state and Christians are our enemies and we will be launching attacks on the Nigerian state and its security apparatus as well as churches until we achieve our goal of establishing an Islamic state in place of the secular state," Boko Haram stated in the statement published by the Osun Defender on Thursday.

The militant group claimed responsibility for three suicide bombings of Christian churches in Kaduna state on Sunday, which claimed at least 21 lives and injured more, according to Voice of America.
"We carried out these attacks," said Boko Haram in a statement, "because Christians have enjoyed the support of government when they were killing Muslims and destroying mosques in northern towns."
The group would continue to attack Christians, especially against women and children. They intend to convert Christians to Islam, according to the statement.
The group was also " responsible for the suicide attack on a church in Jos and also another attack on another church in Biu," Abul Qaqa allegedly told reporters in the northeastern city of Maiduguri.
"We launched these attacks to prove the Nigerian security wrong and to debunk their claim that we have been weakened by the military crackdown," the spokesman for the group said.
Boko Haram is responsible for hundreds of Christian lives in Nigeria throughout this past year. Christians in the nation are mostly concentrated in the South, while Muslims live in the North.
The group's aggressive attitude is even pressing journalists to include their statements
"We are keeping tabs on all comments being made about us ... Let no one make any entreaty to us when we perfect our plan and start our operation, especially against journalists," Boko Haram said in a statement earlier in June.
The group's name Boko Haram means "Western education is forbidden," and the group identifies itself as the "Nigerian Taliban."
