Sadie Robertson and Kolby Koloff talked about sin, forgiveness, and accountability in their first "I am Different” devotional video

Duck Dynasty fans have something to celebrate. Sadie Robertson, the 16 year old daughter of Willie Robertson, CEO of Duck Commander, is producing a weekly Christian devotional on YouTube for teens, "I am Different". Sadie is also developing a clothing line for teens that will encourage modesty but will be fun and modern.

In a lot of ways Sadie is a typical teenager growing up in Monroe, Louisiana. She excels in sports and enjoys hanging out with her friends.

But there is a big difference...she is also a television star!

Interviewed by TC Magazine, Sadie says that she "realizes that God has given her fame in order for her to make a difference for Christ. "When we were little and said our prayers at night, I would always say, 'God, please give me an opportunity to make a difference in this world.' I mean, you always want to, but you never know how to do it. Now that God's blessed us with this TV show, here's that opportunity."

Sadie and her best friend have created "I Am Different," a weekly devotional video series on YouTube. "People think they need to be a part of the world to have fun. To see that we can have fun and still be Christian-based, that's cool, that's different," she said. The two teenagers are hoping and praying that the devotions will expand peoples' way of thinking. "The world's view is completely opposite from God's view," said Sadie in Monday's introduction video. She read Romans 12:2 - "Don't copy the behaviors and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect" (New Living Translation). The girls plan to release a YouTube video via their Twitter account, @_i_am_different, each Monday. - (The Gospel Herald Reporter, August 27, 2013)

Raising kids in today's culture can be a tricky endeavor. They are being bombarded with a pop culture that goes diametrically opposite from the Biblical worldview we try to instill in them. As a mom I'm thrilled whenever I can pass on the news that someone like Sadie, a pretty typical teenager who just happens to be on a weekly television reality show with her family, is using her fame to impact the teen culture for Christ.
